IMPORTANT
Don't cut a position just because it's down
During sideways periods, positions can temporarily look like losses. But that's only an 'unrealized' P/L. At directional breakouts they often flip into profit, or our internal unwinding strategy is already accumulating profit underneath. The final 'realized' P/L is only confirmed when a position is fully closed.
CARE NOTES
Things we'd like you to know
- 01
What 'unrealized P/L' actually means
The Quant 3.0 strategy is designed so liquidation risk converges to zero. Long hold times are very natural; the numbers on an open position aren't confirmed losses — they're temporary marks. Because nothing is realized yet, it's not even meaningful to call it MDD.
- 02
A non-directional strategy
Quant 3.0 isn't a long/short directional bet. The structure pursues returns regardless of direction, so when the market enters expansive sideways action, unrealized P/L can show negative temporarily. This is normal behavior within the strategy's intended envelope. Given a near-100% win-rate profile, occasional unrealized drawdown is part of the structure — please take it as such.
- 03
Stability shown by past cases
Cases where the hold time crossed a month all closed at profit.
Backtest basisMax hold 4 monthsLive basisMax hold 38 daysSimilar cases have appeared during Quant 3.0 operation — hold times stretched but every case closed in profit. All these variables are baked into the design, targeting ~30% annual return. The structure flips to take-profit at major directional breakouts; before then, unrealized drawdown is normal.
